Des Moines, Iowa - AIB freshman outside hitter Alyssa Drey (Early, Iowa/St. Mary's) has been named to the Midwest Collegiate Conference's 2011 All-Conference Honorable Mention team.

Twenty-eight athletes were recognized as part of the all-conference teams as voted by the coaches, including 14 to the First Team and 14 to the Honorable Mention Team.

"This is a great honor for our program and for Alyssa," said AIB head coach Jodi Butler. "To be selected for this honor, you have to be noticed by all of the other conference schools for your accomplishments and hard work."

Drey played in 80 games this season, collecting 66 kills and 128 digs and averaging 88.3 percent in serve receptions. In conference play, she had 31 kills, 48 digs and an 88.3 serve reception percentage in 27 games played. She collected a season-high eight kills along with 10 digs against Iowa Wesleyan Oct. 22 and recorded a season-high 13 digs against Wentworth Military Academy Oct. 29. Against Robert Morris Sept. 9, she had a season-high four service aces.
